Occupying the northern half of the continent of North America, Canada is known for its natural beauty – few countries in the world can boast of anything close to the richness of its forests, lakes, and mountains.
It is also one of the most prosperous countries in the world, despite the fact that the entire population of the country is smaller than that of California alone.
It is preferred that you know in advance that much of the values in Canada are based on respect for the individuality of the person. In this way, it is convenient to avoid comments or jokes about races, sexual orientation, social class, personal appearance, religion and any life option that a person can take. Far from talking about morality, it is about the values of the society in general. Many people are surprised to visit Canada and want to find a host family (homestay), house and neighbors.
This low population density is partly due to the other extreme of Canada, which is the temperature. It is one of the coldest countries in the world, not surprising considering that part of the country is within the Arctic Circle.
In general, there are no scholarships for languages. Occasionally or in a special way, there are raffles or competitions for partial scholarships Canada of some costs such as tuition, but the plane and lodging ticket, inscriptions, are usually paid by the student.
But do not be too discouraged by this. On the one hand, it means that the country can offer a true wildlife experience like few places in the world, and secondly, if you study in Canada certainly find the most important cities near the border of the US.
In these cities, such as Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Quebec, there is a town famous for being friendly, tolerant and multicultural. In fact, one could argue that multiculturalism is built in the country, taking into account its past as French and British colonies, which is reflected in the bilingual character of the modern nation.
This friendly attitude is reflected in the country’s approach to international students, who are welcomed with open arms, and even encouraged to stay and live in Canada after their degree if they have something to offer.
Consequently, many international students have arrived in this country in the search for an open-minded combination, a good quality of life and prestigious universities.
You should know that it is not possible to work legally while studying only languages. A temporary resident visa or study permit does not credit you to stay permanently and work forever in Canada. A study permit (not only to study languages but obtain a certificate or diploma at the collegiate or university level) allows you to work legally 20 hours a week.
As always, however, it is worth looking beyond the first or second university of the rankings, in fact, there is no quality shortage in Canada since it has part of this two, 23 qualified universities in Canada. Nine of them are in the Top 200 in the world, a feat matched only by a handful of other countries, so if you want to study at an elite university in one of the most developed nations in the world, apply to study in Canada is an excellent decision.
